Which payment gateways does this work with?
All of them. Fee Recovery adds the fee as a line item to the Gravity Forms order total rather than connecting to a specific gateway. Any add-on built on the Gravity Forms Add-On Framework reads its charge amount from that total, so the fee is included automatically. That covers the official Stripe, PayPal, Square, and Authorize.Net add-ons as well as third-party gateway add-ons.
Setup note: in your payment feed, keep Payment Amount set to Form Total rather than a specific product field. Form Total is the default.
Does it work with my page builder?
Yes. Fee Recovery operates inside Gravity Forms itself, so it makes no difference whether your form is placed with a shortcode, a block, or a page builder widget. Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, and the block editor all work the same way.
Is the fee optional for the customer, or mandatory?
Your choice. By default the customer sees a checkbox they can tick to cover the fee, which works well for donations and nonprofits. You can also set the checkbox to be checked by default, or use conditional logic to apply the fee only in specific situations.
Can I apply the fee only to certain payment methods?
Yes. The Fee Recovery field supports Gravity Forms conditional logic, so you can show it for card payments and hide it for invoice, check, or purchase order options. When the field is hidden, no fee is added to the total or to the amount charged.
Will the customer see the fee before they pay?
Yes. The form total updates live as soon as the box is ticked, so the amount displayed always matches the amount charged. You can also enable a breakdown that shows subtotal, processing fee, and total due as separate lines.
Can I charge a fixed amount, a percentage, or both?
All three. Set a fixed amount, a percentage of the order subtotal, or combine them. You can set defaults globally under Forms, Settings, Fee Recovery, then override them on any individual field.
What are the requirements?
Gravity Forms 2.5 or higher, WordPress 5.0 or higher, and PHP 7.2 or higher. You also need whichever Gravity Forms payment add-on your gateway uses.
What happens when my license expires?
The plugin keeps working. Your license covers one year of updates and support. When it lapses you stop receiving new versions, but any form you have already set up continues to run.
How many sites can I use it on?
Unlimited. One license covers every site you build.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes, within 14 days of purchase, where the plugin does not work as described, where a technical issue cannot be resolved, or where there is a compatibility problem we are unable to fix. Get in touch first either way, since most problems turn out to be fixable.
